BMW and Toyota to build sports car this year

BMW Group and Toyota Motor Corporation are pursuing their strategic long-term cooperation in the field of sustainable mobility by recently signing binding agreements aimed at long-term collaboration between the two companies for the joint development of a fuel cell system, joint development of architecture and components for a sports vehicle, and joint research and development of lightweight technologies. 2012 BMW 1-Series M Coupe debut in Detroit

Saab to used BMW-Mini engines from 2012

Saab and BMW announced an agreement for the supply of engines to be
used in next-generation Saab vehicles. Under the purchase, supply and development
agreement, BMW will supply Saab with 4-cylinder 1.6L turbocharged gasoline engines
from 2012. The engines will be adapted to meet Saab’s specific requirements.
The contract was signed on Wednesday in Trollhättan, Sweden. Participating in the signing
were Saab Automobile CEO Jan Åke Jonsson, Saab Automobile Chairman Victor Muller and
Ian Robertson, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, responsible for Sales and
