2010 Suzuki Kizashi dragster sets speed record video
Piloting American Suzuki Motor Corporation’s modified 2010 Suzuki Kizashi Bonneville Special, Road & Track’s Sam Mitani injected the Kizashi into the record books (and himself in the 200 mph club) with his 203.720 mph run at this year’s Bonneville Speed Week, exceeding the previous record of 202.301 mph. Despite a multitude of records – and record attempts – achieved by Suzuki motorcycle riders, this was the first official crack at the Bonneville Salt Flats by American Suzuki’s automotive arm. Seat Leon touring car crash video
Portugese driver Francisco Carvalho went off the track at a recent World Touring Car Championship event. Competing in the Seat Leon Euro Cup Race, he got nudged by another racer, which quickly made Carvalho’s car a shining example of what happens when you lose control at high speeds. However, no one was injured in this track incident thanks to a racing rollcage and vigilant marshals. Continue reading »
Ford Mustang skateboarding video
As part of the premiere for season three of MTV’s “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory,” a professional drifter took a Ford Mustang, modified with skid plates under the car, and attempted to use it as a skateboard around a specially-built track. 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI claims fastest ‘Ring sedan title
Subaru today released footage covering advanced research and development carried out at the Nurburgring’s racetrack in Germany, using a 2011MY Subaru WRX STI 4-door (sedan) test vehicle.
