BMW dealers in some oil-rich Middle Eastern cities such as Abu Dhabi are offering AC Schnitzer Falcon body kits for the BMW X5 and the BMW X6, with dealer-fitted factory warranties. BMW’s Middle East office reports that the 7-Series is their top-selling model in that flamboyant Arab region, followed by the BMW X6 and then the BMW X5. 2010 Land Rover LR4 replaces the LR3

Its strange that the people from Land Rover decided to rename the LR3 to the LR4. So does that mean the next LR2 will be called LR3? Anyway the new 2010 Land Rover LR4 certainly improves in performance, delivering 25% more power and 19% more torque than the previous 4.4L engine. The new 5.0-liter V8 develops 375 hp and 375 lb-ft torque. The LR-V8 has a new ZF HP28 6-speed automatic transmission. It gives a 0-60 mph time of 7.5 seconds. IIHS crash tests say sub-compacts less safe than expected

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, better known as the IIHS, conducted three front-to-front crash tests, each involving a sub-compact and a midsize model from the same manufacturer, to show how extra vehicle size and weight enhance occupant protection in collisions. The revealing results imply that very small cars generally can’t protect people in crashes as well as bigger cars, even if the small ones get top ratings in standardised crash tests against stationary barriers.
