Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series is the latest and hottest Merc, premiering to coincide with the German F1 Grand Prix.
As the name suggests, The C63 AMG Coupe Black Series is meant to be a mean beast on the tarmac. The naturally aspirated 6.3-litre V8 monster delivering 510 hp and 619 Nm of torque, aided by AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission, can rocket the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe past 100 kph in just over 4 seconds. Most of the engine components including the forged pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft, and few other powertrain components have been lifted straight from the SLS AMG. Other features include an AMG coil-over sports suspension, AMG high-performance composite braking system, AMG rear-axle differential lock, AMG Track package which features ultra high-performance rubbers and active cooling for the rear-axle drive unit, and AMG Aerodynamics package featuring exterior winglets and adjustable carbon-fibre rear spoiler.
The C63 AMG Coupe Black Series can be had with or without individual rear seats. The interior is chiseled from high quality materials including Dinamica microfibre upholstery known for it’s exceptional fade resistance. Finished in high-gloss black piano lacquer, the dashboard also features a 3D TFT color screen which can be set to display information such as the engine oil temperature, ESP mode and gear selection via the AMG main menu. Safety features include multitude of airbags, seat belt tensioners and belt-force limiters for all seats, ABS, ESP with 3 modes including a “Sport Handling Mode”, tyre pressure monitoring system and electronic cruise control.
