2013 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster revealed

Italian supercar maker Lamborghini has released pictures and details of the 2013 Aventador Roadster.

Successor to the Murcielago Roadster, the Aventador convertible has a 13 lb carbon fibre hard top that can be removed by hand in just a few seconds.

The Aventador Roadster has the same V12 6.5-liter normally-aspirated engine as the coupe with stop/start system, cylinder deactivation, and mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. It reaches 0-62 mph is just three seconds and has a top speed of 217 mph.

The car’s rear pillars have been redesigned to have more strength. Exclusive features for the Aventador Roadster include new two-tone finish alloys that lower the vehicle’s weight by 22 lbs.
