NAIAS 2003

On the heels of the Los Angeles 2003 Auto Show is the North American International Auto Show being held in Detroit, and open to the public January 11 to 20. More commonly known as NAIAS, this annual show showcases models from almost all the major manufacturers, including those which do not sell cars in the American market, such as Renault. New model debuts include the 2004 Nissan Maxima, all-new Acura TSX, the new Opel-based Chevrolet Malibu, Mercedes Benz E-Class wagon and the facelifted BMW 3-Series Coupe. Shown for the first time in the United States are the Bentley GT, Volkswagen's 240 hp Golf R32, Audi's RS6 sedan, the facelifted Impreza and WRX models and the Mercedes Benz SL600, among others. Also shown are numerous concepts such as the supercharged 2005 Ford Mustang GT, Cadillac's enormous V16-powered concept, Suzuki's Concept-S and crossover sport-utility wagons from Chrysler, Infiniti, Dodge, Cadillac, Mitsubishi, Chevrolet, BMW and more...
