2013 Frankfurt Motor Show: Photo coverage

The 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show is under way in Germany, with a number of new product launches, otherworldly concepts and near-production concepts. Some of the new models launched include the Nissan X-Trail, the Volkswagen Sportvan and the Bentley Continental GT V8 S. Some of the near-production concepts, which hint at the future direction of these brands, include the sleek Infiniti Q30, the staid Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, the unlikely Volvo Coupe and the unfortunate BMW Active Tourer. 2012 VW Beetle R concept shown in Europe

The Volkswagen Beetle, one of the oldest surviving nameplates in automotive history, has always had more female aficionados due to its inevitably-cute design. Yet, folks at Volkswagen seemingly have not given up trying to inject doses of masculinity into this cute-o-mobile, evident from the Beetle R Concept which debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show: Photo coverage

One of the largest auto shows in the world, the 2011 edition of the Frankfurt International Motor Show in Europe is playing host to various debuts and a whole slew of concepts as well as a notable number of tuners. Of note are the 2012 Porsche 911, 2012 Volkswagen Up, 2012 Mazda CX-5, 2012 Hyundai i30 and the 2012 Ford Focus ST. Among concepts, there are the Cadillac Ciel, the Kia GT, the Ford Evos, the Fisker Surf and the Volvo Concept You. The tuners showed off the Eterniti Hemera Cayenne, the Brabus Zero Emission E-Class, the AC Schnitzer 1-Series M Coupe and the Alpina B6 Bi-Turbo Convertible. Continue reading »
