Stretched 2008 Mini Clubman in the flesh

The Clubman rides on a stretched version of the traditional model’s platform, with the addition of a suicide-style door on the passenger side to aid ingress and egress.

Power delivery will come courtesy of the 1.6L four, producing 120 hp and 118 lb-ft of torque, while the ‘S’-badged variant will benefit from a turbo and allowing the 1.6L mill to produce 175 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque.

European customers will also have their choice of a 110 hp 1.6L common rail diesel with 177 lb-ft. All engines get either a six-speed manual or optional automatic gearbox.

Not as good as we expected. The retro-Clubman cues should’ve been left in the past.
