Spainish Seat Ibiza gets makeover for 2008

The Seat Ibiza has received a major makeover for the 2008 model year. It continues to offer unique styling, although VW-owned Seat continues to avoid the American market.

Overkill options include the availability of a new 7-speed DSG automanual gearbox in addition to a 5-speed manual, Hill Hold Assist, front fog lights with corner-illumination function and combined AUX-IN/USB connectivity for all manner of music devices.

Initially at least, this larger-than-before front-wheel-driver will offer largely carryover petrol engine options. With a 70 hp 1.2L 3-cylinder 70 PS, an 85 hp 1.4L 4-cylinder, or a 102 hp 1.6L 4-cylinder, we’ll have to wait for the Cupra or FR turbo models to appreciate this car.
