Saab bought by Koenigsegg and other investors

Swedish TV reports suggest that Koenigsegg, maker of extremely high-end exotic supercars, along with a group of Norwegian investors, have signed a letter of intent with Saab to buy out the ailing brand from General Motors.
Final negotiations will reportedly take place in the coming months, so the deal isn’t complete final yet.
In recent months, GM has been off-loading their deadbeat brands to the highest bidder. Saturn, Hummer, Opel and now Saab have all been sold by GM as part of their restructuring efforts, while already in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Many companies and investor groups from all over the world showed interest in the Saab nameplate earlier, although most probably got cold feet at the prospect of having to revive a brand that has essentially been on life-support since the 1980s.
If a supercar-maker now controls Saab, it will be interesting to see what kinds of non-GM cars come out of the company.
