Rally Ford Fiesta to go up Pikes Peak with Gronholm

Two Ford Fiesta hatchbacks have been given a serious overhaul to make thrm capable of tackling Pikes Peak in the hands of Marcus Gronholm and Andreas Eriksson.
The two heavily-modified Fiesta rally cars will enter the Unlimited class. The two widebody cars will have all-wheel-drive and engines outputs of up to 800 horsepower or more. This will be the Fiesta’s first Stateside motorsports outing, going down on July 19. I
Eriksson confidently declared that they will be the top contenders to break the 10-minute mark and give the Fiesta a proper racing debut in the United States. If the special Fiestas do break ten minutes, they would beat Rod Millen’s hill climb record of 10:04.06 set in 1994.
