Mugen kit for Euro Honda Civic Type-R

Mugen Honda Civic Type R Euro
Mugen, Honda’s in-house tuning arm, already has their own hyper-tuned version of the Japanese-market Honda Civic Type-R sedan. But Europe has its own version of the Civic Type-R, based on the disappointing 3-door Euro-Civic hatchback with non-independent suspension. The European Civic Type-R is imported to Japan in limited numbers, and this was enough reason for Mugen to offer a body kit for it.

The body kit consists of bulky front and rear bumpers, a park-bench rear wing, hood vents and other enhancements. While the kit is being dubbed “Premium Super Sports,” the 201 hp 2.0L engine has been left stock.

There has never been any plans to import the Civic Type-R hatchback to the United States.

  1. The Mugen Civic TypeR looks like crap. Ask anyone on Clubrsx.com they all think it’s a joke. Honda do you realize who will be buying your TypeR’s? If you price a TypeR or Mugen Civic TypeR anywhere near the price of a WRX,Rally Art lancer,Mustang GT, or a used 350Z you you know what those people are going to choose? Not a $27,000 Civic TypeR. Honda you’re taking yourselves way too seriously with your R line these days. Honda you need to step up to the plate with performance or lower your prices b/c only the truly loyal/stupid would buy a $27,000 Civic TypeR or Mugen TypeR. Honda you either do it right or don’t do it at all.
