Lexus apparently can’t build enough of their new IS250 C and IS350 C convertible models to satisfy demand, as they plan to increase production in Japan to 1,200 units per month. The company is so happy with the results that they intend to add a convertible version of the IS F sports sedan to the lineup.

Car and Driver is reporting that Toyota’s upscale division will build the convertible IS F version, although they haven’t addressed what the new model will be named, since IS C F or IS F C does not sound very elegant. Lexus already offers accessories for the IS C under the F-Sport brand name.

The IS C is so hot in America’s Northeast that the region will begin receiving 225 units per month. A Northeast Lexus spokesman says 85% of the convertible IS models will have the base 204 hp 2.5L V6, while only 15% will have the 306 hp 3.5L V6.
