Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 images leaked

Lamborghini is busy prepping a rear-wheel-drive version of the all-wheel-driven Gallardo, although they refuse to admit it.

These are apparently the first photos of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2, leaked well before the launch of the actual car. It boasts the same 5.2L V10 engine as the LP560-4, but at 550 hp, it is 10 hp down, and also a good deal lighter. The stripes represent its limited-edition status.

It later turned out to be the limited-to-250 Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni edition, named after their most popular test driver. The special model is prices at $219,000.
