Lamborghini creates super-expensive Reventon
Lamborghini unveiled a limited edition of the Murcielago at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show today. Named the Lamborghini Reventón, just 20 examples of the car will be produced, and while it is based on the Murcielago LP640 completely under the skin, this car will be priced at 1 million Euros, before taxes.
The Reventon is named after the bull that killed some matador called Felix Guzman back in 1943. Featuring an angular outer design reminiscent of a stealth fighter, the reskin uses the LP640 engine – a 6.5-litre V12, capable of 640 hp at 8000 rpm, and peak torque of 487 lb-ft, fed through a the permanent Viscous Traction all-wheel-drive system. Brakes involve ceramic discs six-cylinder calipers each.
Like the Murcielago LP640, the Reventón does 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of over 213 mph.
Because of the high temperature in the rear low part of the car, special heatproof LEDs are used for the indicator and hazard lights, stoplights and rear lights with a triple arrow optical effect.
The cockpit includes alcantara, carbon, aluminium and leather. The instruments comprise three TFT liquid crystal displays with innovative display modes. At the touch of a button, the driver can choose from two vehicle information display modes. The instruments are housed in a structure milled from a solid aluminium block, protected by a carbon-fibre casing. A G-Force-Meter is also completely new.

Wow I guess anyone can slap a V12 on a car make it look sleek and call it cool. For some reason I am not impressed by super cars much anymore. I am impressed when I see someone take a K20A2 and wring 260-300whp out of it N/A and not even going ITBS. I am impressed with an Evo(god no not the new one just makes me want to puke)and only putting around 1-3k into it and making it run low 12’s high 11’s. I am impressed with the new M3 V8 pumping out 414hp and revving to a whopping 8400rpms. These things impress me. Putting a huge displacement V10 or 12 in anything and calling it fast is easy no real challenge to that at all.
