Hyundai Genesis coupe exposed before NY show

Photos of the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe have been leaked onto the interweb. Looks like both their new luxury sedan and this new coupe will share a name. No official details have been released.

This new rear-wheel-drive car is expected to have a 210 hp 2.0L turbo-4 with almost 210 lb-ft of torque, and a 300 hp 3.8L V6 with around 260 lb-ft.

Gearbox options will include a six-speed manual and a six-speed auto with paddles.

The suspension setup is MacPherson struts up front and five-link in the rear.

Hyundai engineers claim that torsional rigidity was benchmarked with a BMW M3. The wheelbase is longer than that of a Ford Mustang, but Hyundai achieved 50/50 weight distribution for balanced handling.

The car will debut soon at the upcoming 2008 New York Auto Show. After years of lopsided slow models, Hyundai has finally churned out a sports car worthy of looking like a Ferrari.
