Hyundai Genesis coming to America for 2009
The 2009 Hyundai Genesis has been officially unveiled for the American market. The full-size rear-wheel-drive car is designed to challange the likes of Lexus and Infiniti, if not also the Germans. But pricing is expected to be around $30,000.
The Genesis will be available with three engines including the automaker’s familiar 3.3L and 3.8L V6 engines producing 264 hp and 233 lb-ft of torque, and 290 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque, respectively. The top motor will be the new 4.6L V8 that produces a healthy 368 hp and 324 lb-ft of torque.
All three engines are mated to a 6-speed automatic.
The spacious interior seems to use upscale materials extensively, and should match well with its intended competition.
