Gemballa turns Porsche 911 to Avalanche GTR EVO-R

This modified Porsche 911 has been named the Gemballa Avalanche GTR 650 EVO-R. In addition to taking the name of an oversized Chevy truck, the German company has also inserted enough letters to remind you of the Nissan GT-R, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo and the Honda Civic Type-R. On top of all that, Gemballa claims to be a legitimate car manufacturer when they simply modify cars like the Porsche 911.

The Avalanche GTR 650 EVO-R gets various body panels replaced by ones that have more vents and intakes, as well as a few made out of carbon-fiber. Most noticeable are the gaudy scissor doors, the custom rear bumper to hold the raised custom exhaust, and headlights from the Carrera GT.

The turbocharged Gemballa offers 650 hp at 6,200 rpm and 701 lb-ft of torque at 4,600 rpm. Thereby, the all-wheel-drive 911 offers 0-60 mph acceleration in only 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 207 mph. Mods to up the power to 800 hp are also available.

The light aluminum wheels are sized 9.0Jx20 with 245/30 ZR 20 tires up front, and 1.5Jx20 with 325/25 ZR 20 tires at the rear.
For braking, enlarged red-painted 6-piston brake calipers at the front and 4-piston brake calipers at the rear are used, both with larger discs than standard.
A new coilover kit with four individually adjustable rebound dampers allow individual fine-tuning. Sport stabilisers and strut braces render additional torsional stiffness.

The interior is spruced up with leather, carbon-fiber and aluminum, with a Gemballa sports steering wheel completing the package.

European pricing for the Gemballa Avalanche GTR 650 EVO-R starts from the equivalent of $490,000 including base Porsche 997 Turbo.
