Chevrolet Camaro convertible slated for 2011

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro has already hit the streets in a big way, but there was speculation that the Camaro convertible, seen largely as a concept by the general public, has been canceled. However, GM has confirmed that the drop-top is still on.

GM spokesmen have confirmed that the Camaro convertible is slated for production. The only thing that has changed is the release date, as production is now slated to start in the beginning months of 2011, which would make the rag-top a 2012 model when it hits the showroom floor.
Images circulating on the net already show a near-production version undergoing real-world tests in Australia, where it was developed.
