2011 Ford Mustang GT will get 5.0 V8

Australian website Drive.com.au reports that Ford is working on a brand new 5.0L “Coyote” V8 that will replace every other V8 in Ford’s line-up.
According to Ford Australia spokesman, Ford’s American team is working on the 32-valve aluminum DOHC 5.0L V8, codenamed “Coyote.” The V8 will have more than 400 hp and about 400 lb-ft of torque.
The V8 motor is expected to be fitted in the Mustang, among other models such as the F-150 truck and the Australian-market Ford Falcon. The new engine should put the Mustang on level footing with the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, especially if Ford complements the base Mustang with a 3.5L EcoBoost option.
