2010 Porsche Panamera in the flesh

The Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo has been revealed early, in all its bulbous glory.

The engine range includes a 300 hp 3.6L V6 for the base Panamera, a 400 hp 4.8L V8 for the Panamera S, and a 500 hp 4.8L twin-turbo V8 for the Panamera Turbo, with a 350 hp hybrid V6 joining the range later. Available features include electronic air suspension, limited-slip diff, and either the rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive, depending on trim. Porsche’s new PDK dual-clutch gearbox is standard.

The interior features a fancy multimedia system with integrated stereo and Bluetooth functionality, with a shitload of buttons.

Porsche plans to sell approximately 20,000 units each year, eventually hoping to rise as high as 50,000 a year. In this economic climate, a car that looks like this might be the least bit on people’s minds.
