2010 Chevy Camaro suffers manual gearbox failure

There are various reports by owners of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro who say that they were breaking their car when using the launch control feature that comes only with manual 2010 Camaro models.
According to Autoblog, many reports have begun popping up in the Camaro5 forums about issues with V8-powered Camaro SS models with the manual transmission. It seems that doing a hard launch or using the launch control system sometimes results in a broken output shaft, which renders the car completely immobile and in need of a tow-truck to the nearest dealer garage.
Autoblog also spoke with a General Motors spokesman who that a “factory hold” has been put on deliveries of manual transmission V8 Camaros while Chevrolet engineering teams investigate the problem. So the U.S. government-owned company is aware of the issue, and a recall is likely. If you happen to have purchased manual Camaro, you should start babying the gearbox for a while.

Wow between The Camaro’s gear box breaking and the 2010 Ford Mustang V6 having less horsepower than a 2.0L Honda Integra TypeR and the same hp as the last Acura TypeS.Is it any wonder why these companies needed a bail out? Why haven’t the 3 American car companies merge into one company and named themselves
(no offense to handicapped people) “Handicapped Motors of America”? Ford musters only 210hp out of a 4.0l V6 while most other companies make at least 250 out of V6’s ranging from 3.0l-3.7l’s? The G37/370 making a whopping 337hp. Chevy how long have you been a muscle car company and you can’t even make a gear box that works? I won’t even start with Chrysler. You 3 are genetic waste to me and should start over from scratch Oh yeah and fire everyone of your CEO’s and have blue collar workers run the company so at least someone from the bottom will know what it’s like and treat those below them with respect.
