Farewell with Mercedes-Benz SLR Speedster
The SLR McLaren is being discontinued soon, as AMG and McLaren branch off to make brand new supercars of their own. To give the aging SLR a final farewell, an SLR Speedster is being developed. The funny part is, these “spy photos” were deliberately leaked by Mercedes-Benz themselves.
Different from the SLR Roadster in that this one has no roof or even a windshield, the SLR Speedster is expected to be a lightweight track-racer that ditches all the standard comforts and guns for pure performance. Expect a boost in power, lots of weight-saving features, and a crazy price.
