Europe gets Ford Kuga at Geneva Auto Show

Ford will be pulling the wraps off its first crossover SUV in Europe next month in Geneva. Based on a previous concept, the Kuga is European equivalent of the niche filled by the Escape in North America.

The Kuga is based off the Focus platform, and the only engine currently announced is Ford’s 2.0L Duratorq TDCi common-rail diesel, with 136 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque, in front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive form. The Kuga comes standard with ESP, Anti Rollover Mitigation, ABS and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution.

Inside, the handsomely-outfitted cabin offers seating for five and a 60/40 split rear seat.
