2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI finally revealed

Subaru has unveiled the latest STI version of the new Impreza WRX. It is powered by a 2.0L boxer-4 with a twin-scroll turbo mated to a 6-speed manual. SI-DRIVE, multi-mode Drivers Control Center Differential (DCCD) and Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) are also standard.

Engine figures clock in at 304 hp at 6400 rpm, and 311 lb-ft of torque at 4400 rpm, with a front-rear torque split of 41:59. That is impressive for a car weighing 3263 lbs.

The STI version also gets a more aggressive body kit, larger rims and sportier seating. It will only be available in hatchback form.

The STI will be sold in Japan, Europe and USA eventually.

Do some auto manufacturers make really really really ugly cars so that their sales go down so they have an excuse to stop the production model? It seems like Subaru did this to their fabled WRX and WRX STi. Poor cars they don’t deserve to be treated like this b/c of how famous they made Subaru world wide. You should be ashamed of yourselves Subaru.
