2008 Aston Martin DBS recently revealed

This “new” Aston Martin, known as the DBS, was unveiled by the company a few days ago. For some reason, it didn’t interest us as much as the dull Honda Accord that was unveiled at the exact same time, so I didn’t bother reporting on it. Well, today is a slow news day, so here it is.

The DBS, featured in Casino Royale as James Bond’s ride, is powered by a hand-built 6.0L V12 producing 510 hp at 6500 rpm, 420 lb-ft at 5750 rpm, a top speed of 191 mph and a 0-62 mph time of 4.3 seconds.

Its 3737 lbs weight is propped up by 20-inch alloy wheels, while it also features a six-speed manual transmission, adaptive suspension and all the usual safety and luxury electronics.

Enough said for a sports car that will cost as much as a small island in Cuba, while still getting its tailored ass kicked by a “cheap” Corvette Z06.

6.0L V12 510hp and 420tq Why am I not impressed. Why would anyone want to own a sports car like this when the new ZO6 is cheaper and will kick it’s ass in the field of speed and handling. The new Aston Martin driver can feel cool while driving a Bond car while a ZO6 passes him by with ease. Yeah the ZO6 is a Chevy but at the sametime it’s about one of the only Chevy cars I would own. The other being the Saturn Sky Redline that thing is so effing cool looking much sharper looking than it’s counterpart the Pontiac Solstice and they both sport the 260hp engine too drool. I hope those cars are reliable if so then I think Chevy has a winning combo.
